Wellhouse to debut Terrier LUX-XL in Manchester
As well as featuring its entire range of campervans at the Caravan and Motorhome Show in Manchester from 21 to 24 January 2016, Wellhouse Leisure is also intending to debut an all-new model – the Terrier LUX-XL.
The LUX-XL is a spacious, comfortable and convenient campervan for up to two people, based on a 5.4m, long wheelbase, high roof (2.5m) Ford Transit Custom. This makes it easy to drive and park in a standard parking space. Retail prices start from £42,00.
Inside, the LUX-XL features an L-shaped kitchen and rear washroom with a cassette toilet and a fixed bench seat (which converts to a double bed) opposite the nearside sliding side door. It is powered by the same economical, 123bhp, 2.2-litre Ford Duratorq TDCi diesel engine as the Terrier 2 SE model, with Euro 5 emissions and a six-speed manual gearbox.
Like all Wellhouse Terrier campervans, the LUX-XL benefits from the high standard specification of the Ford Transit Custom, including cab air conditioning, Bluetooth, DAB radio, swivelling and heated front seats. For camping it has a SMEV two-ring gas hob and sink, a 42-litre Dometic compressor fridge, 240v/12v power sockets, a 100Ah leisure battery and containers for fresh and waste water. It also has 16-inch alloy wheels, a 95w solar panel and Eberspacher, 2.2kw blown-air heating. Options include Remis cab blinds (£300), a SMEV mini-grill (£300), a roll-out awning (£500) and leather upholstery (£1,400).
