Teleco launches new omnidirectional motorhome aerial

Teleco has launched a new omnidirectional motorhome aerial that is capable of receiving DVB-T2 digital terrestrial signals, as well as DAB+ digital radio signals and cellular signals up to 5G

This means the new Wing-LAN 11 can receive TV, radio and high-speed phone signal to provide internet inside a motorhome or campervan to allow internet browsing and streaming of movies and live TV.

It has a new amplifier equipped with a 694 MHz filter that’s able to eliminate any interference caused by the recent switch of the 700 MHz band from digital TV to 5G. This improves signal quality by increasing the speed of the internet connection and avoiding interruptions in data transmission.

According to Teleco, the television and internet are the two most popular entertainment services used by motorhomers, often also in combination, thanks to smart TVs. In both cases, the signals are digital and, in the absence of a good reception system, users can experience difficulties in watching normal broadcasts, as well as when using apps or streaming.

The antenna has a diameter of 38cm with a 16.5cm height so needs minimal space on the roof of the vehicle.

A router capable of accommodating a telephone SIM card must be used to make the most of the cellular reception. This allows the signal to be distributed throughout the vehicle via a high-performance WiFi network. The digital radio-TV amplifier and signal distributor supplied with the antenna provides three outputs for as many TV sets and one output to which an FM and/or DAB+ radio can be connected.

The Teleco Wing-LAN 11 antenna is already available from authorised Teleco dealers.
