Sunlight reveals 4x4 campervan
Sunlight, a brand of the Erwin Hymer Group, has launched what it claims is Europe’s first full-production, entry-level, all-wheel drive campervan
The new Cliff 590 4x4 Adventure Edition, which is built on the 5.98m-long Ford Transit powered by the 168bhp (170PS) diesel engine, is packed with extras and enhancements including bespoke Adventure 4x4 decals and black 16in alloy wheels.
Sunlight has also added premium framed windows and a larger awning than is usual to the exterior.
On the inside there is customised Adventure 4x4 furnishing and a new colour scheme.
The layout mimics that of the standard Cliff 590 with a rear transverse bed (1.92m by 1.47m) and an interior height of 2.02m throughout.
The kitchen, which has a two-burner hob with 12V ignition, a sink and a double-door 70-litre fridge, has been slightly tapered towards the front. There is a toilet on board just like in every Sunlight, which is separated – together with sink and roof compartments – from the living area via a foldable door.
Further 4x4 highlights include storage shelves that are integrated along the rear and grant easy, quick access. And for small essentials and accessories, there are nets beneath the storage compartments. The seating area is fitted with ambient lighting integrated into the open overhead locker.
The new 4x4 campervan will be available from dealers in the near future but no exact dates are yet available, and prices have also not yet been released.
