French motorhome manufacturer Pilote has teamed up with the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) to offer customers a motorhome driving course.

The course, which is free to those buying a new Pilote or Le Voyager motorhome, aims to give those who are new to motorhoming or who are upgrading to a larger model the skills they need to feel comfortable behind the wheel of their new vehicle.

The course will be made available to existing Pilote customers, although it will not be free.

Pilote will launch the scheme at the Boat and Caravan Show at Birmingham's NEC, which starts on February 22.
