Pilote expands its UK motorhome dealer network
With motorhome sales increasing, French campervan and motorhome manufacturer, Pilote, is seeking to grow its market share and make one of the industry’s most recognised brands more widely available in Britain.
As a family-owned business for over 58 years, however, Pilote felt it was imperative to ensure the brand is represented by a dealer network with dedication and commitment in providing the best service to its clients. When appointing new dealers, each one was required to fit the company ethos.
Three new dealers have now joined the company’s UK franchise network, which now numbers two in Scotland, two in Wales, one in Northern Ireland and eight in England.
With these new appointments, the Pilote brand will now be represented in the regions of North Wales (Clwyd Caravans & Leisure), South Wales (Tenby Tourers) and East Sussex (AMC Motorhomes).
Each dealer expressed their interest in Pilote to enhance their current product mix.
Martin Hughes, MD at Clwyd Caravans & Leisure, commented, “Clwyd caravans has been looking to get involved in the motorhome market for the last few years and had a couple of franchises offered to it, but it felt that they weren’t really what it was looking for. When Pilote came on the scene it jumped at the opportunity to be involved.”
Tenby Tourers’ Marketing Manager, Connor Ennis, added, “This is our first season selling brand-new motorhomes and campervans and we can’t wait to get going!”
Meanwhile, Alex McGonigle, MD, has decided that AMC Motorhomes will sell Pilote vehicles after 27 years in the motorhome workshop sector. He says that he has seen the strengths and weakness in most makes and models in that time and believes you will not beat Pilote build quality.
