Get out and explore with these new guides

Bradwell Books has released four new walking guides for everyone from families seeking a gentle stroll in the countryside to tough, cross-country hikes for the experienced. The first in the series is called Walks for all Ages Dartmoor, which contains 20 circular walks in the Dartmoor National Park in Devon. Author and seasoned walker John Noblet, explained, “The walks in this book aim to show a snapshot of all that the moor has to offer. There are walks on the wild side, in river valleys and through ancient towns and picturesque villages. The indigenous and iconic ponies can be found in many areas, while buzzards and skylarks soar overhead.”

Ordnance Survey mapping, grid references, SatNav directions and John’s informative and friendly descriptions provide safe and reliable guidance while you explore Dartmoor’s wild open spaces and historic remains. Walks for all Ages Dartmoor, costs £4.99 and is available from Waterstones, selected National Trust properties, Go Outdoors, Millets, Tesco and Asda stores.

Also in the range are books covering Greater Manchester which includes moors, wooded gorges, river valley pastures as well as the urban sprawl; Lincolnshire with fens and wolds walks; and the Scottish Borders with adventures around battle sites, ruined abbeys and historic towns. They are all £4.95 and you can find more details at Bradwell Books.
