New campervan converter offers hire service

Teahupoo VW Campers will be able to offer a selection of VW campers for hire from the start of spring.

The company is based in Lancashire, and specialise in giving low mileage affordable VW vans a new camper conversion. The company is run by Russell and Lisa, who have 25years of Vdub and camper expereience, and Graham and Lillie.

The company mainly sources 'vans that are less than five years old, with a maximum mileage of 80,000 (unless otherwise requested by a customer), and a full service history. Customers can supply their own van, or help in the search for the van they want.

Customers can pick from three different sizes and styles of furniture units, as well as specifying the location of  cupboards, drawers, fridge and grill. You can also choose interior fabric colours and materials. The company also produces its own rising roof.

Unusually, engines are remapped to cope with the extra weight of the conversions. Other options include 20-inch alloy wheels, color coding and sidebars among many other things. Prices range from £18,000 to £26,000 depending upon the level of specification you desire.
