Motorhome holiday company teams up with Adria

Adria’s UK Managing Director Slavica Sterk said the offer Adria is putting forward with the Motorhome Holiday Company would be different from other hire companies by being ‘brand cohesive’, or centred on one brand, and with extra emphasis put on following up hire customers to see if they are interested in buying.

Anyone who goes on to buy an Adria following a "try before you buy" hire will be able to offest up to £1,000 off the cost of the motorhome.

She hoped that up to three models from across the Adria range will soon be available from each dealership to cater for what she claims is still an untapped market in the UK. She said, “In Germany the rental sector represents 30% of the market. In the UK it is barely 2%. This is also not just for first-timers.”

Adria is initially encouraging its existing dealer network to sign up to the scheme, and GE Finance is offering preferential terms to dealers who are willing to take part, including an increased credit line and an extension by 150 days to the normal 180-day period they can have a motorhome before they have to start paying for it, if the ‘van is put out for hire.

Motorhome Holiday Company founder Matt Sims said: "Many people want to experience the freedom a motorhome offers but often want to try out the experience before making what is a significant purchase. We’re convinced there will be considerable demand across the UK."
