Motorhome dealer, Chelston, takes Adria Dealer of the Year accolade

A self-confessed rookie salesman who had previously worked in the prison service has proved instrumental in Chelston Motorhomes winning the latest Adria Dealer of the Year accolade

Less than 18 months ago, Matt Ward (pictured) was appointed sales advisor by the Somerset-based dealership. But, it wasn’t long before he was promoted to principle advisor for Adria and – within the year – was able to toast his company’s success in being voted Dealer of the Year by the Slovenian manufacturer that’s now part of the Trigano Group.

Chelston Managing Director, Wayne Kavanagh, comments: “Chelston have always endeavoured to provide the very best combination of sales and aftersales for our customers and that requires a lot of hard work and ability.

“For Matt to come in and achieve this accolade in such a short space of time is much to his credit. Make no mistake, he was in at the deep end from the start, so I am delighted that he not only got to grips with such a huge change in his job role so quickly, but has in fact thrived in it.” 
Matt (pictured here) himself is a little more modest: “I am so pleased with this award. When I started at Chelston I didn’t really have time to think about how I would adapt, but the support of the sales team around me made the transition a lot easier – especially when it came to working at the NEC show which could have been a really daunting prospect otherwise. The Adria award was also, I believe a result of this same teamwork.”

Chelston has also taken on the new franchise for Carado, part of the Erwin Hymer Group.
