Longer Ford Terrier to launch at NEC
New, high-top, LWB model on the wayThe Ford Custom Terrier was Campervan of the Year in 2014 and now Wellhouse Leisure is launching a long wheelbase version for 2015, with the model debuting at the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show at the Birmingham NEC in February. This model is 37cm longer with a 5.3-metre long body and the same high-roof that offers more interior living space.
There is an L-shaped kitchen and corner washroom with shower and Dometic cassette toilet in the rear. Hot water is available as an optional extra. Like the previous Terrier, there is seating for five people with a sliding rear seat and it comes with a DAB radio, SMEV mini grill, Waeco 40-litre fridge, Eberspacher heating with digital control panel, air conditioning and twin-rotating front seats. The exterior benefits from alloys wheels, metallic paint and a 95W solar panel.
David Elliott, managing director of Wellhouse Leisure commented: “We get many people wanting a compact campervan with the added extra of a proper toilet, which is always a challenge to achieve, but the LWB version provides the perfect solution. It is an exciting new model, offering all the same drivability, stylish looks and value for money, with the luxury of extra living space and full on-board facilities, yet is still compact enough to use as an everyday vehicle.”
The on the road prices for the new Terrier high-top model start from £46,000 and orders are being taken now for deliveries in early summer 2015.
