Laika reveals latest motorhome and campervan models

Italian motorhome manufacturer, Laika, has revealed its latest models, including its new M Edition low-profile based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.

It has also revealed the latest addition to its Kosmo campervan range, the 6.3 with raised rear double bed and there is also now an option for a pop-up roof with double bed. Finally, there is also the new Kosmo 909L, which combines a front lounge with facing sofas and rear twin beds.

The new M Edition low-profile sits on a Sprinter 311 CDI chassis and measures just 6.9m long yet has a large (218cm x 122cm x 107cm) garage that is also heated, insulated and equipped with ‘Easy Lock’ locks for easy opening and closing.

The interior features new furniture and interior walls finished in ‘Italian Walnut’ that Laika says recall the tradition of the Tuscan artisan furniture factories. Other features include scratch-resistant kitchen and table tops; windows with silver polyurethane frames, blinds and mosquito nets and walls; the floor and roof are insulated with extruded polystyrene foam (XPS). The roof is also coated with hail-proof fibreglass as well as the sub-floor of the living area.

The new Fiat Ducato-based Kosmo Campervan 6.3 is under 6m long (5.9m), and features a raised rear double bed measuring 175cm x 144cm. You can slide one half of the double bed inside the other to make the most of the space.

As an option, you can add a second double bed below the first. An additional bed in the front dinette is also an option.

As in the rest of the Kosmo Campervan range, the 6.3 is equipped with a standard diesel stove, high comfort cabin seats with armrests and an internal height of 190cm.

The Kosmo Campervan range also gets a new pop-up roof with double bed available as option across the range. The roof bed (129cm x 198cm) is surrounded by three large windows (two side and one front) with opening/closing zip and mosquito net.

Finally, the Kosmo motorhome range gets a new layout: rear twin beds with front dinette. On Fiat Ducato chassis and with a length of 7.41m, the Kosmo 909L has four approved seats and four beds - the fifth bed is optional.
