Laika continues to refrain from motorhome shows

Italian motorhome manufacturer, Laika, which is part of the Erwin Hymer Group, has confirmed it will not take part in major events and trade fairs until further notice.

Ute Hofmann, Managing Director of Laika, explains: “The health of our customers, employees and trading partners continues to be our top priority. The corona crisis continues to require distancing rules and hygiene regulations – even beyond the turn of the year.

"A relaxed atmosphere for the provision of information and advice, as well as for buying, cannot be created. However, we consider this to be a fundamental requirement for an exhilarating brand experience. Therefore, we are standing by the decision we made in May and will not take part in major events and trade fairs until further notice."

In other news, Laika has also appointed Michel Vuillermoz as its head of product management. The former journalist has more than 10 years of experience in the world of recreational vehicles, including two years as marketing and communication manager at Erwin Hymer Group Italia.
