Hymer launches three special edition motorhomes

Following the launch of its new B-Class ModernComfort and the facelift for the ML-T on the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Hymer has launched special edition models of the B-MC I 580, B-MC T 580 and ML-T 580 models, called the Edition1One.

Each range has a limited production of just 150 units and, unlike most orders (which take months to build and deliver), Hymer says the 150 models of each of the three ranges will be available from October.

“With the Edition1One, our customers will receive their dream motorhome mere weeks after placing their order – before the vehicles have even officially reached the dealers – and will be able to set off on their holidays straight away,” says Christian Bauer, Managing Director of Hymer. “All of our special edition models are based on the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, feature comprehensive standard equipment, and remain under the 3.5-tonne limit – even with four passengers.”

The Edition1One motorhomes come with lots of extras, such as Tempmatic semi-automatic air-conditioning and a leather steering wheel, Mercedes-Benz 16-inch alloy wheels, metallic silver bodywork and, for the low-profile models, a Metallic Tenorite Grey cab. The models also feature limited edition badge detailing and a unique number for each vehicle. There are two wood finishes with colour-coordinated imitation leather upholstery. In addition, both the seating area and dashboard have been embellished with the Edition1One logo.

The B-MC models have a 177bhp engine coupled to Mercedes’ new 9G automatic transmission with torque converter, while the ML-T comes with the 163bhp engine coupled to the 7G-Tronic automatic transmission. All Edition1One models are also equipped with a start/stop function and Mercedes’ 10.25-inch multi-media system including navigation with multi-function steering wheel, DAB, touchscreen and reversing camera.

The two low-profile vehicles, the B-MC T and ML-T, also feature a panoramic sunroof over the cab. All three models come with a 32-inch LED flatscreen TV with integrated loudspeakers and DVD drive, as well as the Hymer Smart Multi-Media System with Bluetooth.
