Hobby introduces new entry-level campervan range
As part of an all-new and expanded campervan range, Hobby is introducing three different specification levels, the entry-level OnTour, the mid-priced DeLuxe and the luxury Premium models.
There will be two layouts available, the six-metre with a transverse double bed and the 6.36m-long version with twin singles. All can be ordered in each one of the three levels. Across the board, all the vans have new washrooms that maximise the space available, redesigned kitchen units, improved gas lockers, a new finish for the roof, a new control panel and new wall panels in the lounge and bedroom.
In terms of the individual ranges, OnTour is based on the 3,300kg Fiat Ducato (only white exterior available) with 15in steel wheels, although alloys are an option. You get a two-burner hob and a 70-litre compressor fridge that opens into the sliding door entryway and cold foam mattresses.
The next level up is the De Luxe, which comes with what Hobby calls its HobbyComplete all-inclusive package. It is expected that most UK bound models will be sold in this category. Standard kit now gets you 16in alloys on a 3.5-tonne vehicle and a 90-litre compressor fridge, although you can opt for an 80-litre three-way version if required. White paint is standard but silver is an option.
Premium specification also comes with that Hobby Complete package and you get the 90-litre slimline fridge (in the high-level lockers) which can now be adjusted remotely thanks to the HobbyConnect app. Choose from a wider range of exterior colours, though white is still the standard paint. Premiums models also get removable carpets and preparation for a satellite system.
The OnTour models start at less than €40,000 (in Germany), but we’re awaiting UK prices…
