Hobby extends damp warranty to 12 years
From the 2024 season, Hobby’s motorhomes and caravans will get a 12-year watertightness guarantee
Also known as body integrity warranties, the German manufacturer will be upping its warranty to cover damp in the motorhome or caravan body from five years to 12 years.
This only applies to 2024-season models onwards and owners will still need to have an annual inspection carried out by an authorised Hobby dealer to fulfil the terms of the warranty. This needs to be logged with an official test report.
To ensure the schedule is met, Hobby owners can log into the members area of the manufacturer's website and set reminders for when the next test is due. These annual checks are vital to identify and repair leaks, avoiding more serious damage needing extensive repairs. The check will test roof, windows, doors, joints and seals.
