Hip Campers unveils new 4Family motorhome
At the recent Caravan Salon Düsseldorf, Bulgarian manufacturer, Hip Campers, revealed a new motorhome, taking a unique approach to family travel.

Based on a Mercedes Benz Sprinter with a custom-made Al-Ko chassis, the new 4Family has been designed and built in Bulgaria, but is to be certified in Germany for families of four, with a six-person version on the way.
According to Hip Campers, the layout is vastly different to a typical layout of 85% of EU motorhomes, and intentionally so. The whole interior addresses everything that Hip Campers believes to be an issue with family motorhomes.
A list that most notably includes the kitchen and WC being on the wrong side, and both being too small. It also says that a drop-down bed usually obstructs the door, seating area and often part of the kitchen.
The 4Family has a large kitchen on the awning side, with an XXL washroom measuring 120cm by 85cm, one of the largest in a 7m motorhome. On the opposite side, the large wardrobe measures 60cm by 65cm by 140cm and there is seating for four people at the front and the same in a rear U-shaped lounge.
For night-time there are two drop-down beds, one over the cab seats and a second above the rear lounge. This keeps the washroom accessible overnight and some of the front seating available for the first to wake up in the morning.
Throughout the interior there are top cabinets for storage, and a shoe storage cabinet next to the door. Elsewhere there are two garages for additional storage with the option of a four-bike carrier on the rear.
The 4Family will start at €149,999 with many extras such as Isofix, LiFePO4 batteries and a Smart Control app. Customers can currently reserve a build slot for a €1,000 deposit.
