Get active in the New Forest

In the International Year of Forests – declared by the United Nations in this year – world leaders are urging people to get out and about and celebrate their forests.

In light of this initiative, the New Forest is offering a number of activities in and around the forest - many are cost free, too!
  • Download podcasts for your MP3 player, providing commentary with details about the Knightwood Oak – the largest and oldest oak tree in the New Forest – or follow the trail of Bolderwood deer by putting on your headphones and listening to a Forestry Commission ranger.
