Geoff Cox set to open new motorhome showroom on new site
Derbyshire-based motorhome dealer, Geoff Cox, has bought a new site that will be devoted to the sales and servicing of motorhomes. Its current site at Denby Pottery Village will allow the company to focus on its used car sales side of the business, while the new site at Marehay, Ripley, will focus purely on motorhomes and bring the sales and servicing (which was carried out at a different site in Denby) into one site.
The new site was a disused car showroom that has been empty for two years. The owners planned to sell the site for housing until the Geoff Cox offer came through. Geoff Cox is currently renovating the site, investing nearly £300,000, and it will be fully operational in March.
Neil Cox, Managing Director of the company said, "We've had such growth in both divisions [cars and motorhomes] that we have outgrown the facilities. The operation at Marehay will mean we can expand the motorhome business. We are hoping that we can offer an even better level of service to our customers with a dedicated site offering both aftersales and sales on one location."
Geoff Cox decided to promote the motorhomes sales side of the business back in 2012 and has not looked back since. Over the last four years turnover has increased from £6 million to £15 million and last year the company achieved over £4.5 million on sales of new Adria motorhomes alone.
Neil states, "Our customers are really important to us and we appreciate the loyalty and confidence they have shown in us over the years. Also our strong relationship with Adria and Eura Mobil manufacturers has also been key and they have helped by giving us a strong reliable brand which we can be proud of."
