Family Travel Centre launches driver training courses

Family Travel Centre launches Driver Training Courses to boost road trip skills and confidence.

Whether you’re an experienced motorhome driver wanting to brush up on your driving technique, or a newcomer to the market who is keen to drive a motorhome for the first time, Family Travel Centre’s Driver Training Sessions are tailored to your specific driving requirements.  

Run by a professional driving instructor, a two hour session costs £99 and will boost your confidence on the road, helping you to enjoy your road trip experience that much more. The courses are currently run from Family Travel Centre in Bristol.

A sample novice driver training course includes pointers and confidence building tips including: managing busy town driving; dual carriageways and narrow country roads handling; manoeuvring; reversing and parking; towing tips; left hand and right hand driving (former specifically designed for American RVs); fuel efficiency driving; and family safety tips focusing on areas such as loading your vehicle for safety.

The one-to-one course lasts two hours and can take place in one of Family Travel Centre’s own 'vans,  alternatively, customers are welcome to use their own motorhome.

On completion of the driving course, an achievement certificate will be issued. The courses run monthly throughout the year.
