Just after its launch last year, this model was named Luxury Motorhome of the Year in MMM’s 2023 awards. It impressed judges with its quality, standard specification and impressive winterisation standards. Those qualities are still imbued with each and every Coachman motorhome.
The Coachman Travel Master features impressive insulation and other aspects that give it all-year camping suitability. This includes aluminium skin on the internal walls and ventilated wall coverings to eliminate condensation and help with soundproofing. You also get floor-mounted heater vents to create a thermal wall between the cab and the rest of the habitation area.

Coachman has specified all of its motorhomes to ensure they have all the equipment British buyers want. So you get the Mercedes chassis with 170bhp engine and the excellent nine-speed automatic gearbox, various driving aids (ABS, automatic braking, crosswind assist, rain sensor for the wipers and headlight assist).
The cab also comes with the 10.25in MBUX infotainment system, which has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so you can integrate your phone into the system for calls, navigation and more; function controls on the steering wheel help with this.
Stepping on board, you have a twin sofa lounge that hides a clever trick. One sofa swivels to create two extra travel seats – no faffing about with sofa bases or cushions here.
The central kitchen should cater for all cooks – dual-fuel hob (gas and electric), grill, oven, microwave and 171-litre fridge/freezer; there’s even an integrated extractor fan.
The washroom is split across the aisle; swing the toilet compartment door to make an en suite to the island bedroom at the rear. The shower cubicle is large and has a pumped drain for a faster flow of water out of the tray.

We’re not going to go over the same ground with the 565, but it has all the credentials as the 545. You get an 87-litre fresh water tank and 90-litre waste tank, both of which are heated. It doesn’t stop there; underfloor heating is standard, as is the Alde system, which uses radiators similar to those you would find at home and provides a much more natural heat than the conventional blown-air units.
This model is the same as the 545 up front. It’s only in the bedroom where the differences lie. Instead of that island bed, you get steps up to two singles, with a cushioned insert between the two beds. As with the 545, this is a four-berth motorhome. However, carrying and sleeping two extra passengers is effortless, thanks to the swivel travel seat and the drop-down double bed above the lounge.

When you step on board, though, we guarantee one of the first things you’ll notice is luxury deep pile removable carpets – in sections allowing you to pick and choose the areas you want to treat your bare feet to. It’s also worth mentioning the pull-out storage trays and drawers in the kitchen. All are locked for travel with one single twist catch and storage above is equally practical.
