Cheshire campsite installs solar panels

Elm Cottage Touring Park near Oulton Park has had a 3.9kW solar PV system installed, comprising 18 Hyundai panels.

It is estimated that Elm Cottage’s solar panel system will produce around 3291kWh of electricity a year, saving money and improving the site's green credentials.

The panels were installed by north-west company Eco Environments.

Elm Cottage Touring Park is well-maintained and spacious, offering 35 pitches (all with electric hook-up) - 19 of which are on hardstanding (the grass, however, is also very well-kept). There is also a six-and-a-half-acre rally and camping field. The toilets and showers are kept clean and tidy, and a new block has recently been added.
