Camping and Caravanning Club Launches Competition to Design 125th Anniversary Pennon
News
Help shape the Camping and Caravanning Club by designing the Club’s anniversary pennon. Members are invited to submit their original designs, celebrating the Club’s heritage and the great outdoors.
The competition will operate with a scoring system based on creativity, originality, relevance to the Camping and Caravanning Club’s identity, and overall aesthetic. The winning pennon will be reproduced and will join the ranks of previous designs, becoming a part of Club history.
You'll need to be quick, though, as the entry closes on 16 January, 2026.

“For more than a century, Club pennons have been proudly flown by our members – from Club sites all the way to the South Pole. As we mark 125 years, we’re celebrating everything the Club is today and the community we’re all part of. Our pennons are full of nostalgia, and this competition is a way to honour that heritage.”
The competition is inspired by the early history of the Club pennon. The first was designed by a member, Miss Aldridge, in 1908 and created in silk by the Amateur Camping Club in 1909. Captain Robert Falcon Scott, the Club’s first President, carried this pennon with him on his historic – though ill-fated – expedition to the South Pole.
A PDF template pennon is available for download and members will be able to submit designs through the website submission page.
The competition is open to individuals aged 18 or over. Only one entry per person is permitted. All entries must be an original design created by the entrant.
