Calais wine shops open car parks for overnight stops
Two Calais wine shops are welcoming motorhomes and campervans into their car parks for overnight stopovers before a morning ferry crossing
Just five minutes from the port of Calais, France, and the Eurotunnel terminal, Calais Vins and Olivier Vins et Compagnie both have large car parks and water points available.
Jérôme Pont of Calais Vins says,
By arriving at 6pm or 8pm, they can enjoy a night's rest and why not fill up on wine while taking advantage of the tax exemption. The next morning, the adjacent bakery will prepare a last French breakfast with a croissant on the menu of course. And to top it all off, the best cheese maker in France is right next door to Calais Vins!
Calais Vins is located just off the A16 motorway at junction 44, while Olivier Vins et Compagnie (previously known as Franglais) can be found close to junction 40.
