Hymer motorhomes and campervans: 2026 essential guide
The biggest news from Hymer for 2026 is its new B-Class ModernComfort (B-MC), which it says takes comfort, design and technology to new levels. Based on the Mercedes Sprinter, the B-MC has an updated interior in both low-profile ‘T’ and A-class ‘I’ versions .
Hymer’s popular 4x4 motorhome range grows with the arrival of the special edition ML-T 580 CrossTrail. The new six-metre Fiat-based campervans are called Redwood – there are two layouts, each with a transverse double bed at the rear. Both can be specified in a choice of three equipment levels: Sport, Trail or Explorer.
Hymer motorhomes
Hymer is a German motorhome brand that has been represented in the UK longer than any of its compatriots. Famous for its B-Class, the current line-up also includes a separate campervan range.
Hymer is just one marque within the huge Erwin Hymer Group, which in turn is now owned by the USA company, Thor Industries.

B-Class ModernComfort
Hymer has refreshed its B-Class ModernComfort range for 2026, offering both low-profiles (T) and A-classes (I). Designed around the Mercedes Sprinter chassis, both combine improved insulation, modern design and new digital technology to make long-distance touring more comfortable.
Externally, the B-Class ModernComfort gains a cleaner look with flush covers for fuel, water and electricity points, plus integrated handles for the garage and gas bottle doors. The changes are practical as well as aesthetic, with easier access and a sleeker profile. Inside, Hymer has reworked the storage and lighting, while also providing the option of a mobile workstation to allow travellers to work on the road.
A comfortable drop-down bed, disc spring sleeping system and spacious lounge areas ensure the living space is both flexible and homely. Washrooms have been upgraded, too, with integrated trays, good lighting and, on certain layouts, the option of an en suite shower.
A notable addition across the range is Hymer Connect, the company’s digital control system. This allows owners to use a smartphone to monitor and adjust key functions such as heating, lighting and fridge temperature, as well as keeping an eye on fuel and mileage. Paired with the well-insulated double floor, which houses tanks and services away from heat or frost, the ModernComfort aims to make travel easier in all seasons.
The ModernComfort T is available either in 7.19m or 7.41m lengths and offers a slightly more compact feel while retaining all the main comforts. The ModernComfort I is the fully integrated version, with a more spacious cabin, premium interior design and the option of layouts such as the I 600.
Key features
- HYMER Connect app controls heating, lights, fridge, and monitors fuel
- Comfortable fold-down bed with disc spring sleeping system
- Double floor insulation protects tanks and storage from heat or frost
