Initially, there are just two models in the new Buccaneer Quantum range – both high-spec Fiat Ducato-based low-profiles – one with a French bed, the other with twin singles.

The Buccaneer brand was founded in 1969, joining Elddis in 1998. Now, in the 2026 season, the marque marks its return to motorhomes.

The Quantum range is brand-new, initially with two layouts. The F-4F is the French bed version, with a washroom (including a separate shower) mounted alongside the rear double bed.

Like the latest Elddis motorhomes, the Quantum has a fully bonded ZIP System construction body featuring a full metal frame using marine-grade alloy under the vehicle.

Its Renolit side panels are seamless, UV-resistant and claimed to be ultra-durable. The overcab sunroof is one of the biggest on the market and there are external TV and 230V sockets, as well as external access into the locker under the French bed.

As a premium-priced model, it comes with plenty of equipment, including the XT Pack (heated windscreen, electric parking brake, full LED headlamps and 10in touchscreen), a 100W solar panel, awning, alarm, tracker and on-board WiFi.

The Fiat Ducato cab also comes with automatic air-con, automatic lights and wipers, alloy wheels and front fog lights. The 140hp engine and eight-speed automatic gearbox are also standard, with Lux Edition versions getting the powerful 180hp engine.

The central L-shaped kitchen has all the features you’d expect in a high-end British motorhome – a dual-fuel hob, 800W microwave and separate oven and grill. Opposite, there’s a tall 177-litre fridge/freezer.

Up front, the lounge area is open-plan with the popular side sofa design and added armrests and scatter cushions for your comfort, as well as upholstered frames to the large windows. In order for rear passengers to be carried, foldaway Aguti travel seats are neatly concealed under each of the lounge sofas.

If the F-4F doesn’t suit your requirements because you prefer single beds to a double, then the F-4S is the alternative floorplan in this new premium range.

As with the F-4F, this is a low-profile motorhome on a Fiat Ducato chassis, with the 140hp engine, automatic gearbox and 3,650kg gross weight. Again, it’s 7.37m long.

The F-4S has rear twin beds but not in the continental over-garage style, instead mounted low with the washroom beyond, across the rear – a layout that may particularly suit those with mobility issues.

In fact, the spacious rear washroom is a key feature and also incorporates a double-door wardrobe, so it doubles as a changing room. The washroom is very spacious and the separate shower is a good size, too.

The F-4S is priced at £96,195 but there are extra-cost options to consider to make your Quantum even more luxurious. Leather upholstery adds £3,499 and a black cab (instead of the standard Artense Silver) is £848.

Then there’s the Lux Edition – in 180hp automatic, B-Sense Safety Pack (driver assistance systems), tyre pressure monitoring and a spare wheel – priced at another £5k.

Inside, it’s the Narbonne Oak furniture that gives the Quantum a different feel to other EHG motorhomes, while the programmable gas/electric Alde heating (now with automotive-standard glycol antifreeze coolant) is the most practical benefit. Tank heaters are fitted, too, while habitation air-conditioning (as standard) means that both extremes of weather are catered for.

The lounge adopts en vogue parallel sofas (shorter on the offside), with armrests and scatter cushions for additional comfort. Hidden below are the fold-up Aguti travel seats. If you need four berths, the sofas can be turned into a bed.

Dining is on a free-standing table stored in its own cupboard next to the entrance.

Key features

  • ZIP construction and seamless Renolit side panels
  • Automatic gearbox is standard
  • Low-level beds for easy access
