Bürstner supplies Ixeo time’s for Dakar Rally
The 38th Dakar Rally, one of the toughest in the world, will start on the second of January. Taking part is the Spanish Himoinsa Racing Team, led by the multiple Enduro World Champion, Iván Cervantes. The Bürstner brand, and its dealers Catalan Autosuministros, is assisting Himoinsa in this competition by supplying a brace of Ixeo time IT 726 G motorhomes.
The aim is to overcome 7500 km of rough terrain between Argentina and Bolivia, in record time. Two full Ixeo time motorhomes will provide comfort for the drivers as well as also serve journalists and partners as studios for interviews and meetings. They will also allow the team to carry a large part of their comprehensive equipment in the spacious rear garage.
The team will consist of five riders, with Iván Cervantes is touted as one of the main challengers andfavorites for the title. The five athletes are convinced that the two Bürstner motorhomes will make a very important contribution to this competition. Rosa Romero said, "A good night's sleep is the key to success for us. After a busy day, it is especially valuable to be able to rest in a spacious and comfortable place. Both motorhomes offer us this comfort and the necessary flexibility, in particular with such a high level of equipment."
The rally starts on the second of January in Buenos Aires and ends on January 16 in Rosario in Bolivia. On January 10, a day of rest in Salta is planned at the foothills of the Andes.
