A caravan site near Machynlleth has won a silver medal in this year's Wales in Bloom Awards.

Morben Isaf Holiday Home and Touring Park at Derwenlas, received the award in the class for touring and static caravans, camping and holiday home sites of over 100 units.

The five star park, which adjoins the Dyfi estuary and the Cors Dyfi Reserve, has 26 touring pitches.
Managers Dave and Jayne Hollingworth are delighted with the silver award, saying it's a reward for all the hard work that goes in to keeping the park looking good.

A major attraction of the site is the ospreys which can oftrn be seen there.

Dave Hollingworth says: “I know for a fact that several owners of touring caravans and tents have stayed on the park because they wanted to see the ospreys.”
