Tickets on sale for Wales Rally GB

Get your pulse racing on your next caravan holiday as Britain's round of the 2012 World Rally Championship, Wales Rally GB, will be held this year from 13-16 September and is set to include an all new special stage at the venue of 2010's Ryder Cup – Celtic Manor Resort.

Following qualifying at Walters Arena on 12 September, a ceremonial start in Llandudno, north Wales, will kick off proceedings the following day before the event moves down to the classic Dyfnant, Hafren and Myherin tests on 14 September.

On 15 September, the rally will travel to the Epynt military range, where the stages of Crychan, Epynt and Halfway will be undertaken, after which the rally visits Celtic Manor Resort for the first time before a service in Cardiff.

For the final day (16 Sept), Wales Rally GB visits Port Talbot, Rheola and Walters Arena. The official finish ceremony of the event will take place in Cardiff Bay after the final stage.

Excited by the route, chief executive of Wales Rally GB Andrew Coe commented: "In such a pivotal year for Britain and its role as a venue for world-class sport, it's a real privilege to be able to take Wales Rally GB to Celtic Manor Resort this year, as well as continue last year's initiative of delivering a truly pan-Welsh route.

"We made huge strides forward last year in terms of embracing the whole of Wales with our route and we have tried hard to build on that this year, while also bringing more innovation and fresh-thinking to the event."

Tickets for the event are now on sale, available from Ticketmaster and starting at £16.16 for a one day qualifying ticket. Alternatively, if you're looking to get the best out of the race then you can buy a Gold Rally Pass for £131.70, which gives you access to all dedicated spectator car parks and stages on all days of the rally, including qualifying on Wednesday 12 September.
