Significant changes from Elddis for 2025
British caravan manufacturer, Elddis, part of the Erwin Hymer Group, has introduced significant updates to its Avante and Affinity ranges, including the introduction of a new layout, as well as revealing its 60th Anniversary special edition models in its flagship Crusader range
Elddis has also split its more adventurer-orientated Xplore range from its three more traditional caravan ranges (see separate Xplore article for more).
Affinity for 2025
There are major changes for the now three-model Affinity range – the two-berth 520, and the four-berth 550 and 574 (the 554 has been discontinued for 2025) – which now follows the flagship Crusader’s exterior styling, including a completely new front and rear panel redesign.
The new sidewall construction is also lighter and reflects that used in the Buccaneer range of caravans, which is also manufactured by Erwin Hymer Group UK.
At the front there is a new white gas-strut-assisted gas locker door that is within the bodyshell. There are also new Primo side windows and flush-fit tinted front windows.
In addition, the exterior of the trio of Affinity tourers also benefit from chrome grab handles and rear light clusters with chrome features, as well as a completely new and more complex graphics scheme, black alloy wheels and the option for an e-bike rack.
The interiors also benefit from significant updates, including the use of HaloTEC one-piece interior sides, which are lighter weight and also dent and damp-proof.
There is also a new Moda upholstery scheme with lighter fabrics with dark contrasting elements, as well as a new acrylic kitchen splashback, new taps in the bathroom and kitchen, new overhead lockers, hidden speakers and metal rather than plastic ‘paddle’ locks for the cabinets.
There is also a new front living area redesign, which sees the introduction of a skylight blind and improved front locker design.
The bathrooms also benefit from a new design across all the layouts including improved shower cubicles, a new vanity sink, improved lighting and accessories including a vanity tap.
Buyers of course also benefit from the enhanced equipment levels in the Affinity, including the use of Alde ‘wet’ heating.
Avante for 2025
The best-selling Elddis Avante range has also benefited from significant updates and changes for 2025, which sees all the updates on the Affinity also being introduced into the Avante range for 2025, as well as a new interior design scheme that sees the use of lighter wood colours.
The Avante range also now gets a new layout – the two-berth 520, which features a front lounge with twin facing sofas that convert into a twin single beds or a large double.
There is a central kitchen area that gets a microwave at a more sensible level so chefs can see when something is cooked and do not have to lift hot food from a high level.
The kitchens across the two ranges also get a tall, slim fridge, new cabinets and new worktop and, in the 520, there is also a new upholstery scheme.
The USP of the new 520 is the huge across-the-rear washroom/changing room – the largest washroom available in any of Elddis’ caravans – which features a separate shower cubicle, storage, washing area and WC.
The arrival of the new 520 sees the Avante range now made of a two-berth (520), three four-berths (550, 554 and 860) and two six-berths (840 and 868).
Buyers will also be able to consider enhanced versions of the Avante range at selected dealerships throughout the UK, as this is the range that dealers can specify with additional equipment and designs and then retain as their own dealer-special models that are exclusive to that outlet.
Crusader for 2025
This is a special year for the flagship Crusader range of five models, as it marks its sixtieth anniversary. To mark this milestone, Elddis is introducing a special edition 60th Anniversary Diamond Edition pack for the Crusader for 2025.
This new pack will see all models in the range benefit from new exterior graphics with a unique 60th Anniversary logo, while on the inside there is a new Mara upholstery scheme, new 60th Anniversary-branded cushion tags, a new sheet material scheme (Tibero with Platino and Linum Haithabu), new washroom taps and new metal paddle catches on the cabinets (where applicable).
Because it is such a special year for Crusader, buyers of the anniversary models will also get a framed poster showing an early Crusader caravan, as well as Champagne (or non-alcoholic alternative) in a Elddis gift box, branded accessories and the enhancements mentioned above in the models themselves.
The five models are available with the new bespoke Mara upholstery with ActivCare pet-friendly protected upholstery in high-performance, lightweight construction, with four coordinating scatter cushions with 60th Anniversary tags as standard.
The Crusader models also get Alde’s new Compact 3020 boiler, as does the Affinity range for 2025.
Across its three ranges – Avante, Affinity and flagship Crusader – Elddis now offers models for all budgets and in all the popular layouts.
Prices start at £26,299 for the new Avante two-berth 520 and rise to £40,499 for three Crusader models: the twin-axle, six-berth Tempest and the twin-axle, four-berth Crusader Zephyr and Borealis tourers.
Elddis has also simplified the options available on its models so buyers can now order special packs rather than individual options.
So, for example, if buyers want enhanced entertainment and connectivity, they can opt for the Entertainment Pack.
The arrival of these new option packs ties in with the launch of a new website that allows buyers to ‘build’ their ideal model online and then be presented with in-depth equipment details, as well as the final weight and cost of their bespoke caravan before submitting it with their preferred packs to their local dealer.
