New expanding caravan to be launched in the UK
An innovative expanding caravan is to be launched in the UK after an agreement was signed between French caravan manufacturer, BeauEr, and British campervan manufacturer, RP Motorhomes.
The agreement means RP Motorhomes will be the sole UK importer of the BeauEr range of expanding caravans.
BeauEr has been manufacturing caravans since 2012 and said it has seen a growth in demand from the UK for its unique ‘small-but-big’ caravan range.
The fascinating caravan range works on the principle that it must be small enough to be easily towed on the roads, yet big enough to provide every comfort. The patented design and technology of this expanding caravan, along with its strong design features and layouts provide the user with a distinctive leisure experience.
The caravan’s expanding pods work using electric actuators to push/pull the slide-out side modules, which allows the 4m2 caravan to convert to a large 12m2 space by unfolding the floors and furniture within 60 seconds.
RP Motorhomes recently launched its own slide-out pod on its Mercedes-Benz Sprinter- based ‘Rebel’ campervan.
Its Director, Steve Young, said: “This is an amazing opportunity for both RP Motorhomes and BeauEr to expand into the UK caravan market. Coming from a similar background and both sharing an interest in slide-out technology, this is a perfect partnership.
With our attention to detail and leisure vehicle design, we are excited at the prospect of working together and introducing new designs in the future.”
The official launch of BeauEr in the UK will be at the Motorhome and Caravan Show at the NEC in Birmingham from 15 to 20 October.
