Flogas takes over AvantiGas cylinder business
Caravanners using AvantiGas cylinders will now be supplied by Flogas Britain, following the company’s acquisition of AvantiGas’ cylinder business.
What does this mean?
The confirmed deal transfers AvantiGas' bottled gas customers, stock and transport assets to Flogas, along with several members of the AvantiGas team. Flogas says it’s working with AvantiGas to make sure supplies continue without disruption.
Ivan Trevor, Managing Director at Flogas, said the move expands the company’s footprint and strengthens its off-grid energy network. “Our focus now is on making the transition as seamless as possible for both customers and employees,” he said.
Sales Director, Matt Lightburn, added that the additional depots and cylinders will improve coverage and reliability for users across the UK.
The change means caravanners and leisure users previously relying on AvantiGas bottles will now deal directly with Flogas for refills and replacements. Customers are expected to receive information about the switch in the coming days.
Flogas, part of energy group, DCC plc, says the acquisition forms part of its long-term plan to expand distribution and prepare for lower-carbon fuels.
