Coachman announces 2024 caravan ranges

21e34b0f-b939-4fd0-96f6-f28e94fe852e

Last year saw the launch of several new caravans across the ranges, but Coachman’s 2024 sights have been set firmly on the company’s VIP range, with a huge list of changes and upgrades

In common with Laser and Laser Xcel for the coming season, the VIP adopts 3D exterior graphics – where the range name and model number have an embossed feel.

But it’s inside where the main changes take place, with new fabrics and locker doors with a contemporary angular shape to them – you’ll also see these doors (but in a different tone) in Laser and Laser Xcel.

VIP kitchens will see a recessed sink set underneath the worktop, along with a matching infill. There’s a new microwave, too, which is a flatbed ventilated version that provides more even cooking than the traditional turntable models. This appears across the whole line-up from Coachman; however, all but Acadia get smart housing units to give them a more integrated look.

Kitchens in the VIP models have been redesigned where possible to maximise worktop space, further enhanced with a lift-up extension at the end. Single-axle models offer a 91-litre Thetford fridge/freezer, while twin-axle models have a 159-litre version.

Laser and Laser Xcel

The two Laser ranges (Laser and Laser Xcel) each get a new model this year. The Laser 665 Xtra is an eight-foot-wide model, allowing for wide single beds at the very rear. The central washroom is split across the aisle, with a spacious shower cubicle (and one-piece door) opposite the toilet and basin. There’s also a large wardrobe at the foot of one of the beds. Parallel seating in the lounge and an L-shaped kitchen, with a 159-litre fridge, complete the layout.

And while the Laser Xcel 850 is not a new layout, the washroom is new and mirrors that found in the 665 Xtra, offering an enclosed toilet and basin opposite the large shower – yet this still offers plenty of space for dressing and using the ablutions.

Both ranges get a 40-litre on-board water tank, reducing the amount of trips with the Aquaroll (other water carriers are obviously available).

Sofas also have higher and more supportive backrests in a new scheme, while kitchens get a new tap. This flexi design – in black and chrome – allows you to use to rinse off pots or fill tall pots or jugs, etc.

Finally, both ranges get multidirectional matt black spotlights with USB ports built in.

Lusso is for luxury

Coachman’s best-selling caravan range is its flagship Lusso, available as a twin-axle or single-axle model, both with transverse island beds. New full-length graphics adorn the side, while additional embossed details on the front panel really set these models apart.

Top lockers get soft-close hinges pretty much across the board, but Lusso models now gets these on the base units, too. There’s a new 40-litre water tank fitted, while that flexi tap seen in the Laser is also a feature of Lusso kitchens. The matt black finish to this tap is mirrored in the washroom, with matching taps and fittings.

As well as those spotlights with built-in USBs seen in the Laser, the downlights also have a matt black surround.

About Acadia

Coachman’s entry-level range sees a few detail changes, including new graphics, soft close hinges to top lockers, 91-litre fridge/freezer on single-axle models and a 137-litre version for twin axle models, along with spotlights that have integral USB sockets in the fixed bed area.

All models get a new Teleco Teleplus TV aerial (with FM/DAB reception as well), while all but Acadia also get a double USB socket at the main TV station, along with a USB-C socket which seems to be increasingly common on many devices.

Prices have yet to be announced, but expect to see demonstrator models arriving at dealerships in September.
