A NOTTINGHAMSHIRE campsite is the latest to become a Camping and Caravanning Club Certified Site.

Pikes Oak Farm Nurseries in Widmerpool is the 1,300th site to join the network of Certified Sites, also known as CSs, which are member-only, smaller and often secluded campsites which can hold up to five caravans or motorhomes.

Eric Bolderson, Chairman of The Camping and Caravanning Club’s Exempted Camping Committee, said: “We welcome Pikes Oak to the network and are sure that this site will be yet another success story.”

Certified Sites need to have safe access from the public highway, a level and well-drained camping area of at least half an acre, safe drinking water and a chemical disposal point with separate water supply as standard.

•    Motorhomers  and caravanners have the chance to nominate their favourite camping spot as a Certified Site.

The Camping & Caravanning Club is appealing for the public to get in touch through its new Find a New CS scheme.
