Bailey of Bristol unveil new Unicorn V line-up

The Bailey Unicorn first appeared in 2010 and is now in its fifth generation. For 2022, there will be seven layouts comprising: Unicorn Seville (a new single axle, two-berth end-washroom), Unicorn Madrid (a new single axle, four-berth end-washroom), Unicorn Cadiz (single axle, four-berth twin single bed, end-washroom), Unicorn Vigo (single axle, four-berth transverse island double bed, end-washroom), Unicorn Cabrera (single axle, four-berth longitudinal double bed, centre-washroom), Unicorn Cartagena (twin axle, four-berth transverse island double bed, end-washroom) and the Unicorn Pamplona (twin axle, four-berth longitudinal island double bed, centre-washroom).

All-season touring

Previous models, Unicorn Merida and Valencia models have been discontinued for the 2022 model year while the Seville and Madrid have previously appeared in the line-up and have now been reintroduced. The Unicorn is designed for all-season touring and comes complete with an Alde programmable central heating system with intuitive digital control panel with battery back-up for uninterrupted programming. For added peace of mind, it has been cold chamber tested to ensure optimum performance (achieving Grade III Classification of EN1656-I in the process).

Safety and security

All Unicorn models feature the Al-Ko ATC Trailer Control System for safety on the road, Al-Ko Secure wheel lock (two on twin axle models), a Tracker Monitor Stolen Vehicle Recovery System with an integral intruder alarm. There is a also a new high-security exterior door lock.

Inside and out

Both the interior and exterior have been updated for the new season with a new aerodynamic front profile, new front and rear mouldings and a bold new graphics scheme and as with all Bailey caravans is made using the Alu-Tech construction system.

The interior benefits from a new vertical front infinity window, bigger than on previous Unicorn models and allows for an even bigger view of the outdoors. Decor is simple and tasteful: 'Light Oak’ furniture with contrasting ‘cashmere’ decorative finishes, ‘Nebula Silver’ worktops and a choice of standard ‘Chiswick’ or optional ‘Temple’ fully sprung soft furnishing schemes. Dual finish lockers are gently curved and you'll find new splashbacks and full width fixed bed fabric headboards. Fixed bed models benefit from wider double beds and the two end bedroom models also feature a 'through-boot' exterior access storage locker to stow items.

All Unicorn models have been pre-wired for an optional motormover and pre-wired for WiFi installation making it easy to stay connected on tour. Models feature up to 6 230v points and 4 USB sockets.

Bailey of Bristol Managing Director Nick Howard said, “a striking new appearance both inside and out makes this the best-looking Unicorn yet and this combined with enhanced specifications, accessible unladen weights plus a competitive retail price means there is every reason to believe in Unicorns again”.
