This new six-berth tourer gained its high marks from our judges for its no-frills, low-priced, low- weight approach to touring, giving first-time buyers, in particular, a brilliant-value option.

The Sprite Freedom 6 TD is one of three new six-berth caravans launched for 2016. All are based on Sprite layouts. They are lighter in weight than their Sprite equivalents.

The 6 TD is the only single-axle model. It’s 29kg lighter than the Sprite model on which it’s based; that’s the Sprite Major 6 TD. This model has an excellent family layout, with bunk beds in the rear offside corner in a well-designed family room featuring a three-seater dining-playing area which converts to two more bunks.

Even though this caravan is a relatively modest 5.83m in body length, it achieves two distinct areas, making it an exceptionally practical layout for a family.
