Family's Holiday Park Voted Dorset's Best In National Poll
News
Family-owned South Lytchett Manor, near Poole, has been announced as the Dorset regional winner of the Top 100 sites awards, voted for by readers of two touring magazines.
This is the second year in a row that readers have voted the holiday park as the county's overall winner, as well as featuring among the top 10 UK parks offering glamping and touring caravan facilities, and coming second in the top camping park and top motorhome park categories.
Megan Aspden, director at South Lytchett Manor, said,
We are absolutely thrilled and extremely proud to retain our title as Dorset Regional Winner. These awards are especially important to us as they are based on the feedback of guests who have stayed on the park, and who were clearly delighted with what they found.
Very much a family-run campsite, Megan is the daughter of Joanne and David Bridgen who took over the glamping and camping park almost 20 years ago, and is joined by her brother, Matt, in helping to run the business.
South Lytchett offers a range of unique stays, including glamping pods, Romany caravans, shepherd’s huts and high-end Mongolian yurts, styled with rich North African-inspired décor and furnishings.
The dome-shaped yurts have been handcrafted in nearby Devon from sustainably sourced ash hardwood, and are finished with Moroccan-style lanterns, intricate mosaic tiling and decorative mirrors.
