Upwood Holiday Park

Set in the heart of Brontë country - so called because the infamously talented Brontë sisters lived and wrote here - this campsite is a joy to stay at.

It's easy to see why the novelists were inspired by the area, too. With rolling countryside, the Yorkshire Dales Country Park within skipping distance and the pretty village of Haworth nearby, the beauty surrounding the campsite really is astounding.

On the campsite you'll find a number of residential homes, static holiday homes (which are available for hire and sale), a field for tents, plus large pitches for motorhomes and caravans. The newest additions to the campsite are the wooden camping pods. For those of you who haven't yet come across these, they are a delight - one open single room (like a tent) with heating, electricity, lighting, camp beds and an outdoor decking area for barbecues and relaxing. They are available in four-person or five-person sizes.

The campsite facilities are as good as the views here and include a bar (which serves tempting food), a centrally-heated toilet block with showers and a laundry area, plus a well-equipped shop selling sweets, drinks and basic grocery items. It's worth noting that the bar has entertainment on a Saturday evening - with performances from muscians and singers.

Kids will love the indoor games room and outdoor play area and will find the pool table, arcade games and climbing equipment great fun.

For those of you who wish to stay connected to the outside world (and not forget the rest of the world in this tranquil getaway), Wi-Fi is available in the bar and reception areas of the campsite.
