Camping Municipal de L'Ile d'Or

A friendly, welcoming, level grass site on an island in the River Loire ten minutes' walk from many attractions including a royal chateau, gardens, markets and Leonardo Da Vinci's house. The central part of the site is covered with trees to provide shade. Tarmac roads provide access to the 300 or so pitches of which 200 have 5A electricity. Amboise is a well preserved town with lots of eating places. There are lots of sports available on site and nearby and a swimming pool is open in July and August.
