In a coastal location close to the shores of the Firth of Forth, enjoy the best of both worlds at Visit Scotland five-star Drummohr and combine a visit to the festival city of Edinburgh with a stay in glorious East Lothian, also known as Scotland’s Sunshine Coast.

Combine a visit to the city of Edinburgh with glorious East Lothian, with sandy beaches, rugged coastline and top-class golf courses.

Drummohr has superb public transport links to Edinburgh by bus or traina and is open all year. The campsite is perfect for Edinburgh Christmas markets and Hogmanay as well as Edinburgh festivals.

Beautifully landscaped, with greenery, flora and fauna, in the grounds of a former monastery, Drummohr operates a quiet site policy after 10.30pm. There are a choice of grass and hardstanding tent and touring pitches, all with electric, some serviced. The site is dog friendly, with up to two dogs welcome free of charge on tent and touring pitches. There is a dog walk on site, as well as coastal and woodland walks close by, and a choice of dog-friendly accommodation.

Besides touring and camping pitches there are glamping pods including single backpacker Octo pods, themed double and family Hexi glamping pods, en-suite double glamping bothies and excellent value en-suite family glamping bothies. You could also choose the recently refurbished luxury two and three-bedroom hot tub lodges with private veranda or the self-catering cottage with private outdoor hot tub.

Facilities include newly refurbished amenity blocks with underfloor heating, free hot water, family/accessible bathrooms with baths, indoor campers’ kitchen with vending machines, microwave, freezer, toaster and kettle and a launderette. There is also a small licensed shop selling essentials and local produce, plus fire pits and barbecues for hire. Children’s playground and information room. Free WiFi. EV charging point and secure bike storage.

Musselburgh is just two miles away with a wide range of amenities. Prestonpans has a choice of places to eat, along with shops and is a short walk away.
