The park has impressive entrance gates. Just beyond the gates you'll find the reception and shop. There’s a regular bus service which stops right outside the campsite to Poole and the Heritage Coast – ideal for those looking to take advantage of their bus passes and leave their vehicles on site!
The village has an excellent pub with restaurant, just 10 minutes’ walk, and guests from the campsite can take advantage of a voucher for a free bottle of wine when purchasing two main courses. The Courtyard Centre is just a two-minute stroll from site and serves lovely home cooked breakfasts, lunches and delightful Dorset cream teas. Richard, the owner welcomes all guests on their first visit with a complimentary tea or coffee.
The park is committed to sustainability and delighted to be the Overall Winner of Dorset Sustainable Tourism Award in 2015, and also holds a Gold award 2017 in the Green Business Tourism Scheme.
The on-site facilities are equally as impressive as the park itself, with three immaculate and modern amenity blocks, family rooms, and two large disabled facilities all have heating, are bright and adorned with fresh flowers and music.
New for 2017 there is a brand new children’s play area. Other facilities include an outdoor area for ball games and games room. The information room provides a wealth of tourist attraction details and the staff are on hand to provide excellent local knowledge with free printouts for walks, cycle routes, accessibility information and dog friendly days out! Dogs are welcome at South Lytchett Manor and four-legged friends benefit from a 2½ acre mowed, off-lead dog walking field.
The spacious deluxe pitches have their own water, drainage and a picnic bench. 100 pitches are set on hardstanding and the whole park is level and well drained. You will be able to easily stay connected while on holiday as WiFi and TV connections are completely free across the park!
The sandy beaches of Bournemouth, Sandbanks and Poole are only a short distance away offering miles of golden sands and very safe bathing. Local attractions include National Trust houses like Kingston Lacy, as well as the cottage of Thomas Hardy. Other nearby attractions are Monkey World, the Bovington Tank Museum, Brownsea Island and Compton Acres.
