The heated swimming pool has been covered with an impressive glass retractable structure, and plenty of sun chairs are provided on the lovely patio. To keep children amused there's also a play area, toddler soft play, games room and outdoor table tennis. For ball games and dog walking there are recreation fields and a woodland walk.
For a relaxing drink try the licensed bar and cafe (seasonal opening times). The café and takeaway are available at weekends and in peak season, ideal for when you don't feel like cooking yourself.
The facilities on site for campers include two very clean toilet blocks with baby changing and wheelchair accessibility, plus covered dishwashing and laundry sinks. The newest toilet block is immaculate, with two fully accessible shower/family rooms and privacy cubicles, laundry room with microwave and freezer for visitors’ use.
There is plenty of choice for local days out, including country houses and gardens, Crealy Adventure Park or Pecorama with its miniature railways and indoor soft play area and the unique Seaton Tramway.
Just half a mile away is Burrow Farm Gardens, East Devon’s ‘secret’ garden, a beautifully landscaped area extending over 10 acres with superb views of the surrounding countryside. This provides a wonderful backdrop to the spacious lawns, lush borders and unusual shrubs and trees. It’s also a great spot to indulge in a cream tea.
Honiton Pottery is a fun place for the children, where they can throw their own pots on the potters wheel, or paint a pre-fired items. The attractive Cathedral City of Exeter is just 30 minutes away. And of course there is a great choice of seaside resorts nearby, offering fossil hunting or sandy beaches for a great family day out. Overall Andrewshayes is a great base for exploring East Devon.
