Great Langdale Campsite

National Trust run campsite eight miles away from Ambleside. No hook-ups or chemical disposal. Well-equipped shop and three pubs less than ten minutes walk away. 220 pitches. A glorious campsite for walkers, located right underneath the awesome Langdale Pikes and their rock-climbing outcrops, plus there are many walks and paths around the campsite. Attracts walkers keen to attack Scafell Pike. Ambleside is a half hour drive away, with eateries, shops and attractions. The campsite is basic, so is suited to campers. It doesn't accept caravans but there a few hardstandings for smaller motorhomes.
