The immaculate amenity building has been recently refurbished and has central heating, free hot showers, disabled shower room, family bathroom, laundry and dishwashing area. Motorhomes are catered for with extra-large pitches and a motorhome service point.
There is an outdoor children’s’ playpark and football field, also an indoor games room, TV area, library and board games. The park has free Wi-Fi throughout.
Ballyness is the only AA 5 Gold Pennant caravan park in Northern Ireland and has been awarded a David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award for over 15 years.
Three wildlife ponds on the park are host to swans, moorhens and ducks. Hares, badgers and foxes as well as other numerous birds and creatures live around the park or visit it regularly. David Bellamy the world-famous botanist has said that Ballyness has created “an exciting wildlife wonderland which is brimming with biodiversity.”
The 8-acre Gypsy’s Way Dog Walk has recently been planted with approximately 5,000 trees and provides a great area to allow your dog off the lead, or go for an evening stroll.
The North Coast has numerous international events, local festivals and things to do for all ages. Try your hand at paddleboarding, go on a sea safari or award-winning foodie tour. Shop for your tea in one of the artisan markets. Take the kids to the fun farm or surf camp.
During the spring and summer months guests can hop onto the Causeway Rambler bus from the park to Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge via the Giant’s Causeway and also to Portrush and Coleraine. This provides an excellent opportunity to see the North Coast and stop off to visit the Causeway or the Distillery on route without having to drive.
