Pitton Cross is perfectly situated on the southwest tip of the beautiful Gower Peninsula. The campsite has level pitches spread over six paddocks that include dog-free and family areas. Pitches have hook-up points and some offer sea views. There is a well-stocked shop on site, the Rhossili Gift Shop and the Gower Kite Shop with the widest selection of kites in the area. If you enjoy cycling and walking you could spend some considerable time at this campsite without ever having to take your vehicle off site.

Pitton Cross Caravan Park, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is in the ideal location to explore the stunning scenery of Rhossili and Gower.

The Button family have lived on Gower for over 300 years. They first opened the campsite in the 1960s and are a quiet family park.

Pitton Cross is only a mile from Rhossili Village and its beach, which is often voted “The Best Beach in the UK”. There is a large car park, a pub, a couple of cafés and a National Trust shop. In St Mary’s Church there is a memorial to Edgar Evans who was born in the village and went to the South Pole with Scott.

The City of Swansea is only 16 miles away from the campsite where you will find the National Waterfront Museum.

The scenic coastline is within walking distance from your pitch. Ramsgrove Cove is good for rock pooling. Mewslade and Fall Bay for body boarding, buckets and spades and climbing. Rhossili Beach is ideal for climbing, surfing, walking, and to see the “Helvetia” shipwreck.

Pitches are a mixture of grass and hardstanding, with both types having electric hook-up available if required.

On site you will find:

  • A ladies and gents shower and toilet block with a baby room with bath in-between them
  • Fully equipped facilities for the disabled
  • A four-sink dishwashing area and a laundry room
  • A Visitor Information room with lots of leaflets for local attractions
  • A children's play area featuring swing, slide and benches for parents.
  • WiFi (Pay as you go)
  • A well stocked shop, the Gower Kite Shop and Rhossili Gift Shop selling maps, bodyboards, drinks, kites and more!
  • A bus stop at the site entrance
