The VW California campervan goes on sale in the UK

The all-new version of Volkswagen’s own in-house campervan, based on the Multivan, has now gone on sale in the UK with prices starting at £63,376 (for the California Beach Camper, with rear slide-out kitchen).

Prices for the more conventional, side kitchen layouts start at £70,576 in Coast spec and £77,476 for the top-of-the-range Ocean. Prices include an enhanced warranty and service plan, the 5+ Promise, for ultimate peace of mind and the first customer deliveries from UK Van Centres are promised this winter.

For the first time, there is a choice of three powertrains: diesel, petrol or plug-in hybrid, while a completely redesigned interior is said to provide more space and sophistication than ever before. 

To celebrate order books opening, until 6 January 2025, the new California Ocean 2.0 TDI 150PS is available from £549 per month with 6.9% APR representative on a Solutions Personal Contract Plan (PCP), available on a 48 or 60-month, 10,000 mile per annum contract, which includes a £2,000 deposit contribution from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

Until 6 January 2025, the new California Ocean 2.0 TDI 150PS is also available from £719 per month with 6.9% APR representative on a Hire Purchase (HP) agreement, based on a 60-month contract, which also includes a £2,000 deposit contribution from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

Customers purchasing the new California benefit from the 5+ Promise warranty and service plan at no extra cost. The enhanced plan includes five services (comprising three oil services, two oil and inspection services with pollen filter), a five-year warranty, and five years’ Roadside Assistance.
