Originally unveiled as a concept vehicle, the IBEX has been developed into a fully fledged off-road campervan aimed at adventure-focused travellers aiming for more out their route plans.
The IBEX comes as standard with all-wheel drive, automatic transmission and a 163hp engine. Measuring just under six metres in length, it offers an interior standing height of 1.98m thanks to a specially developed raised roof design.
The production model retains much of the same styling seen on the original concept, including bold topographic graphics and a choice of four exterior finishes: Desert Sand, Lava Black, Stormy Grey and Glacier Blue.
Sunlight says extensive real-world testing has helped shape the final specification. The campervan has been trialled in challenging environments including Iceland and the Faroe Islands, with feedback from users helping refine the production vehicle.
Among the available features is a factory off-road package that includes 18in off-road tyres, a roof-mounted light bar, a robust roof structure with integrated awning and an electric off-road step.
A transverse rear double bed measures 200cm by 136cm, while a pull-out refrigerator can be accessed from both inside and outside the vehicle. The layout also includes a kitchen area, compact washroom with foldable washbasin and a sliding partition wall.
