Lancashire-based Landseer Leisure has launched its latest campervan, based on the new Ford Transit Custom.

The Landseer Custom 2.0 is available now, with prices starting at £77,900 (140hp, six-speed manual gearbox).

Vehicles will be first registered to customers as an M1 Motor Caravan and come with a three-year warranty (limited to 40k miles on the conversion, 100k miles on the base vehicle).

This new top-quality camper has a classic side kitchen layout and an SCA pop-top roof with TÜV approval as well as a panoramic opening flyscreened front section.

The crash-tested German sliding seat system (with Isofix) can be locked into position anywhere along its rails and has belts for three rear passengers.

The habitation area is gas-free, with a 160Ah Clayton lithium power system, a 3kW inverter and 240W solar panel for off-grid capability – it even has a jump-start facility in case you flatten the vehicle battery.

Optionally, it can be upgraded to as much as 400Ah.

For cooking, the Landseer has a Sterling twin-ring induction hob integrated into the solid oak worktop, while a diesel blown-air heater is standard, too.

The new campervan also has 17in alloy wheels and comes in a choice of six exterior colours. Both short (5.05m long) and long- wheelbase (5.45m) versions are available and additional, removable seats can turn it into a six or seven-seater.

It is offered with two cabinetry colours (Cream Gloss or a much more unusual Highland Green Matt) and two woodgrain floors (Ebony or Oak).

A wide range of optional extras is available, including a Webasto hot water system, exterior shower and leather upholstery.

The base vehicle comes with heated cab seats, LED headlights, a 13in touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry and a reversing camera.

An eight-speed automatic gearbox is a £2,000 option.
