New CV Plus campervan from Etrusco

Etrusco campervans range overview
Etrusco is an Italian brand from the Erwin Hymer Group that offers everything from campervans to A-class motorhomes, all in the entry-level part of the market. Here, we’re focusing on its seven-model campervan range, the big news in which is the arrival of a pair of ‘Plus’ models with increased spec. Like all Etrusco campervans, these are based on the latest Fiat Ducato.
The new models, the CV 600 DB+ and CV 640 SB+, are based on tried and tested layouts but with a variety of extra features not previously offered on the CV range. The CV 600 DB+ is compact at 5.99m long, while the CV 640 SB+ makes use of Fiat’s longest, 6.36m, Ducato.
Etrusco dealers
Etrusco has seven UK dealers including Struans Leisure in Perth, Scotland; Abbey Caravans & Leisure in Newtonabbey, Northern Ireland; and 3A's Leisure in Carmarthenshire, Wales.
In England, the retailers are, from north to south, United British Caravans in Tyne and Wear; SMC Motorhomes, Nottinghamshire; The Motorhome Depot (Midlands); and Choose Leisure in Kent.
NEW FEATURES
Plus models
Externally, the new Sky-View overcab sunroof is said to give the vehicles a more dynamic look as well as flooding the open-plan cooking and dining area with daylight.
The Campervan Plus series also sets new standards for Etrusco in the washroom area in terms of flexibility and comfort. The new Vario bathroom fitted to both layouts has a new swing-wall arrangement to quickly turn the toilet area into a curtain-free shower.
The new campervans’ kitchens include an 84-litre compressor fridge, while enhanced storage includes soft-closing overhead lockers. There’s plenty of room for camping accessories in the spacious rear garage and all Campervan Plus models can be turned into family-friendly four-berth campervans with the optional pop-top roof. Down below, the CV 640 SB+ has two single beds that can be converted into a giant lengthways double, while the CV 600 DB+ has a transverse bed.
Indirect LED lighting gives a modern ambience inside these campervans, while numerous USB charging ports ensure that tablets, smartphones and other devices are always charged and ready.
The Plus series’ standard equipment also includes a selection of driver assistance systems and 16in alloy wheels. The 140hp motor can be upgraded to 180hp in conjunction with an automatic gearbox as an optional extra.
You can further enhance these campervans with the Complete Selection package, which adds a wealth of extra features. Included in this £6,210 pack are the Type X Design elements (including high-gloss locker doors), a multimedia package with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a reversing camera, framed windows and awning, as well as preparation for solar panels and roof air-conditioning.
Prices for the new models start at £57,000 for the CV 600 DB+ and £58,900 for the CV 640 SB+.
STANDARD MODELS
More layouts
While the layouts of the Plus models are still available in Etrusco’s standard CV campervan range, there’s more choice here. If you’re looking for a more compact camper, the CV 540 DB (from £57,600) is based on the medium-wheelbase, 5.41m-long Ducato with a rear transverse double bed. Like its larger sisters, this most petite Etrusco can be specified with a pop-top for extra sleeping capacity.
Another way of having four berths is to go for the six-metre CV 600 BB (from £55,700), which has two transverse double beds at the rear, one above the other.
Completing the line-up is the CV 640 PB (from £57,500), based on the extra-long Ducato. This model uses its additional interior space to accommodate an electric rise and fall lengthways double bed at the rear. In its raised position, a small motorbike can be housed under the bed.
Standard equipment for the CV range includes Isofix on the rear travel seats, high-quality mattresses, Tela Sand and White furniture finish, Combi 4 gas heating (Combi 6 diesel in the CV 600 BB), a 95Ah leisure battery, 84-litre compressor fridge, 100-litre fresh water tank, Servo-Soft kitchen drawers and Aosta grey upholstery.
A variety of habitation and base vehicle options is available, including the Complete Selection package.
