Content Editor: Motorhomes

Peter discovered campervans when his garage-owning dad took a Fiat Fiesta (not Ford Fiesta!) with Spacemaker pop-top in part-exchange against a new Talbot car, in about 1978. Two years later he became MMM’s youngest ever contributor, the passion for campervan travel having been truly ignited by a 4,700-mile trip to Bulgaria and back in the family’s second campervan, a yellow and white Commer Auto-Sleeper. After compiling the magazine’s Buyers' Guide alongside school homework, he began testing motorhomes at the age of 17 – the first one was a rare secondhand Torcars Hi-Tor.

Since then he’s reviewed everything from the smallest micro-camper up to the biggest Liner-type A-classes you can drive on a C1 licence. He's also driven motorhomes all over Europe (from southern Spain to northern Norway), in the USA (including Alaska), Canada, Morocco, Thailand, and even on the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe.

Today, he enjoys family holidays with his wife and two kids in a VW T6 converted by Concept Multi-Car, with France being his favourite destination. In the UK, he loves weekends by the sea, especially along the north Norfolk coast.
