Always fancied an aquacaravan?

Unveiled at the Düsseldorf Caravan Salon, the Sealander is the brainchild of German industrial designer Daniel Straub and does exactly what it says on its ‘Der Schwimmcaravan’ label.

Thanks to an approximate weight of 380kg, a body made of fibre composite technology and a low-emission 5hp electric outboard motor, the Sealander is capable of leaving land behind and taking to inland waters for a whole new caravanning experience. ?The panoramic windows are bound to provide some stunning views. To prevent water ingress, even in the event of a leak, the lower body is made from a double skin with single closed air chambers for buoyancy.

Although it’s looking pretty spartan in its current guise, around £13,000 will get you the aqua caravan with an interior featuring a cooking-washing module, a cooler, heater, table, two benches/beds and even the possibility of a Porta Potti as standard equipment.
